About Aravolta

Aravolta is building modern infrastructure monitoring and control technology for the data center industry. Its unified hardware and software platform helps operators gain visibility and control across mission-critical systems, including power, cooling, networking, and compute infrastructure.

As AI infrastructure and data center capacity expand, Aravolta is positioned to help operators manage increasingly complex facilities with greater intelligence and efficiency.

Aravolta is live in more than 100 facilities across 8 countries, for colocation providers, AI cloud operators, and data center developers, including Centra, OpenColo, Flexnode, Freedom Data Centers, and DataCrunch. Deals are enterprise infrastructure contracts, and the company is backed by Y Combinator.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a VP of Sales to own and scale Aravolta's commercial growth. This is a hands-on leadership role for a deeply connected data center industry veteran who can personally open doors, lead technical discovery, negotiate complex agreements, and close significant enterprise deals.

You will lead and develop the Business Development Representative (BDR) team, establishing a repeatable pipeline-generation engine and the foundation for a scalable sales organization. As the business grows, you hire and build the team behind you.

Initially, you will partner closely with Aravolta's founders on strategic opportunities and major deals. Over time, you will assume full responsibility for end-to-end sales execution, independently generating and closing revenue without relying on the founders to carry deals across the finish line. We want a builder and closer, not someone who only manages from the sidelines.

What You Will Do

Build and lead the sales organization

  • Manage, coach, and develop BDRs; set clear expectations for pipeline creation, qualification, and conversion.
  • Build repeatable outbound processes, CRM discipline, sales metrics, and an accountable, high-performance culture.
  • Run the weekly operating rhythm: pipeline reviews, deal reviews, and one-on-ones, so everyone knows which deals are real and why.
  • Recruit and develop additional sales talent as the business scales while remaining actively involved in selling.
  • Design territories, quotas, and comp plans as the team grows.

Own revenue and close strategic deals

  • Personally manage the full enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting and technical discovery through proposals, negotiations, and closing.
  • Build relationships and win high-value opportunities with data center operators, colocation providers, AI infrastructure companies, developers, and strategic partners.
  • Initially co-sell with the founders, then progressively take independent ownership of sales execution and commercial outcomes.
  • Create and execute a focused go-to-market strategy, account plans, and revenue forecasts.

Lead technical and industry conversations

  • Engage credibly with data center engineers, facilities leaders, technical buyers, and C-suite executives.
  • Translate complex infrastructure monitoring, control, and automation capabilities into clear operational and financial value.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to solve customer problems and inform product direction.

Be present in the market

  • Travel extensively each month for customer meetings, site visits, conferences, and partner development.
  • Expand Aravolta's relationships and reputation throughout the data center ecosystem.

Your First 90 Days

DaysWhat happens
1-30One-on-ones with every BDR and everyone who touches sales. Co-sell every live deal next to the founders. An honest read of the pipeline and the team.
30-60Own the BDR team's targets and the weekly pipeline review. Put the operating rhythm and CRM discipline in place. Take the lead on deals as the founders step back.
60-90Run deals end to end on your own. A written sales plan for the next year: targets, territories, quotas, and the hiring plan, with the first new sales role open.

What We Are Looking For

Must-haves

  • Deep experience and established relationships in the data center industry, including familiarity with its operators, technical stakeholders, and buying dynamics.
  • Experience leading and developing BDRs or sales teams while remaining a hands-on individual contributor.
  • Demonstrated success personally sourcing and closing complex, high-value B2B enterprise deals.
  • Strong technical fluency in data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, facilities operations, and related monitoring or control technologies.
  • Ability to independently own the entire sales cycle rather than depending on founders or other executives to close.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, resourcefulness, executive presence, and comfort operating in an early-stage environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively every month, with international travel as needed.

Strongly preferred

  • Track record building a sales function from founder-led selling into a repeatable, scalable revenue engine.
  • Former founder, co-founder, or early commercial leader at a technology or infrastructure company.
  • Experience selling DCIM, BMS, EPMS, SCADA, data center automation, infrastructure software, or adjacent technical solutions.
  • Experience navigating large strategic accounts and international data center markets.

Who Thrives Here

You are a builder, not a caretaker. You are highly driven, technically sharp, and comfortable with ambiguity. You think like a founder, love being in the field, and know how to turn relationships into real revenue. You can lead a team and still personally close the hardest deals.

Why Aravolta

  • Opportunity to shape commercial strategy and build the sales organization alongside the founders.
  • Exposure to a fast-growing market at the intersection of AI infrastructure, data centers, and industrial technology.
  • Direct ownership, meaningful autonomy, and the chance to make an outsized impact.

Location, Travel, and Compensation

  • Location: Remote, U.S.-based
  • Travel: Extensive monthly domestic travel; international travel as needed
  • Compensation: Competitive executive package with performance-based upside; details to be discussed.
