About AI Advantage

AI Advantage is one of the world's largest AI education communities, serving 60,000+ active members learning to harness AI for their businesses and careers. We help people move from AI-curious to AI-confident through structured bootcamps, expert-led masterclasses, and a thriving community of practice. We're part of the Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi ecosystem, headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, with a growing remote team.

We don't sell content. We sell time. Every piece of content we publish competes against one question: did this save the member an hour, or cost them one?

The Role

We're an AI-first company, and the people side of the business has to run with the same precision as everything we ship. We're looking for an HR and Payroll Administrator to own payroll first: accurate, on time, every cycle. From there, you'll run onboarding and offboarding and keep our HRIS clean.

This seat is built for someone who has run payroll and wants to grow into the HR side. You'll learn that side directly from our Head of Human Resources. Bring about 2 years of payroll or HR experience, a love of getting the details right, and real comfort using AI tools in your day-to-day work.

What You'll Do

Payroll

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule, including hours, PTO, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
  • Review payroll registers, reconcile variances, and resolve issues before they reach employees
  • Support payroll tax filings and year-end (W-2s, 941s), working with our payroll provider
  • Answer employee questions about pay, deductions, and time off with clarity and care
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local payroll and employment requirements

Onboarding and Offboarding

  • Coordinate the full new hire experience: offer paperwork, I-9 and E-Verify, tax forms, benefits enrollment, and system setup
  • Partner with hiring managers and IT so new team members have what they need on day one
  • Manage offboarding steps, including final pay, benefits termination, COBRA notices, and access removal
  • Keep personnel files organized, confidential, and audit-ready

HRIS Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records in our HRIS, including new hires, job changes, compensation updates, and terminations
  • Serve as the go-to admin for system setup, user access, workflows, and troubleshooting
  • Run standard and ad hoc reports for leadership, finance, and compliance needs
  • Conduct regular data audits and keep process documentation current
  • Put AI tools to work on reporting, documentation, and audits, with a human check on every number

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience processing payroll end to end (single-state or multi-state)
  • About 2 years of experience in payroll, HR administration, or a combined role
  • Working knowledge of at least one HRIS or payroll platform (for example ADP, Paylocity, Gusto, Rippling, TriNet, or similar)
  • Familiarity with onboarding and offboarding compliance (I-9s, tax forms, COBRA). We'll teach you the rest of the HR side
  • Strong attention to detail and a habit of double-checking numbers
  • Comfort with Excel or Google Sheets (lookups, pivot tables, basic formulas)
  • Curiosity about AI: you use Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools in your own work, and you can tell a shortcut from a mistake
  • Sound judgment with confidential information
  • Clear, friendly communication with employees at every level

Nice-to-Haves

These aren't required. If you have some of them, great; if not, we're happy to help you learn.

  • Experience running payroll through a PEO (TriNet or similar)
  • 401(k) administration experience, such as remitting contributions, managing enrollments and deferral changes, and working with plan providers
  • Experience preparing payroll journal entries and partnering with accounting on reconciliations
  • FPC, CPP, or SHRM-CP certification (or working toward one)

What Makes This Role Unique

You'll keep the people side of an AI-first company running clean, starting with payroll. We teach 60,000+ members how to put AI to work, and we run the same way inside: the tools are on your desk from day one, and you're expected to use them to make payroll and HR faster and more accurate, with a human check on every number. You won't be one of thirty in an HR department, buried in tickets, or waiting on three approvals to fix a record. You'll own your lane.

You'll work directly with our Head of Human Resources, who will teach you the HR side as you grow, alongside our finance and technology teams and hiring managers across the business, from our Scottsdale headquarters. Small team, big reach, and leaders who treat you like an adult, give you context, and expect good judgment at speed.

If you're the person who reads the payroll register one more time before it goes out, answers a nervous new hire's benefits question like you're helping a friend, and wants to grow from payroll into the full HR picture, this is your role.
