Cactus Jack's is hiring a Senior Marketing Strategy Analyst. Hybrid in Phoenix, in the office one to two days a week.
We are a dealership group in Arizona and Texas, and we finance and service the loans on the cars we sell. That makes our marketing harder to read than most: results depend on which customers we can approve, which cars are ready to sell, and which customers are worth the most to us over time. We're looking for a Senior Marketing Strategy Analyst to lead how we understand our marketing, decide what we test next, and tell us where the next dollar should go.
This is a strategy role built on technical depth. You'll set direction, and you'll need to understand how marketing data moves from first click to funded loan well enough to design it and catch when it breaks. Strong data and marketing analytics fundamentals are a requirement, because you can't build good strategy on numbers you can't trust.
We expect to nearly double the size of the business over the next 14 months, and we have a ten-year plan to grow several times larger. This seat grows with the company. As marketing scales with the business, you'll shape how we measure it and where we invest, and success here leads to owning the marketing analytics function as we grow.
What you'll own:
- The full marketing funnel, from ad click to website visit, application, approval, and delivery
- Attribution: how leads and sales get credited, how conversion data flows back to Google and Meta, and which tools and setup we should run
- Conversion rate testing across our website and data platform, and the reporting that shows what each test changed
- Email and SMS reporting tied to approvals and deliveries, not opens and clicks
- Recommendations on spend, conversion, and customer communication that account for inventory, approvals, and customer quality
Our current stack: HYROS for attribution, feeding Google and Meta; PostHog for website analytics and testing; BigQuery and dbt for our data; and Claude for most of our technical work.
How the team works:
- We work AI-first. Our analytics team does most of its technical work with AI, and we value the judgment to know what to hand off and when not to trust an answer. You won't need to write SQL
- You'll work closely with our developers. You decide how marketing data should move between our website, our CRM, and our attribution and ad platforms. Our developers build it, and you check that it works
- You'll ramp up with the leaders of our marketing, operations, and technology teams, then help shape how we structure our data with our Head of Data & Analytics and company leadership
Compensation
- $100,000 to $115,000 base salary, plus a performance bonus
We hire for character first: humble, hungry, and smart. Tools can be learned. Character can't.
